Services

Policy Development

JPAWB will help organisations analyse their current programmes and activities and provide recommendations about policies which will meet their objectives. Reports will be thorough but concise and be influential in convincing decision makers.

Strategic and Development Planning

Strategies and Development Plans are essential to ensuring that organisations know where they are going and have the confidence to make the changes which will enable them to make progress. JPAWB can provide the support to produce plans at an appropriate level. Simple Plans at low cost can be prepared for clubs while more complex plans will be prepared for larger organisations in sport and leisure. These are often the first step on the way to obtaining funding.

Research

JPAWB provides a methodical and systematic approach to researching issues of importance to sport and leisure organisations. Research reports will give an impartial view in a readable form.

Training

Interactive training can be provided to support planning or as stand alone packages. All training will be tailored to the needs of your organisation. Planning work will normally involve workshops involving key people to ensure good outcomes are reached.

Support Services

JPAWB has links with a number of Associates who can help with support services including website design, computer system design and maintenance for small organisations, cartography, sports photography and coach development.

Examples of current work are:

  • Preparing Development Plans for Rugby and Football Clubs – simple low cost plans can be effective including one page one year Action plans. Essential for the “Seal of Approval” process and Community Club Development Programme applications.
  • Preparing Football Development Plans, Business Plans and Football Foundation applications
  • Coach Educator assessment work for British Orienteering and Archery GB.
  • Coach Educator for British Orineteering, sportscoach UK and Running Sports

Completed Work

  • Preparing Facility Strategies - priorities to support football development for Leicestershire and Rutland, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire Local Football Partnerships - medium sized plans to support funding applications. All delivered on time.
  • Whole Club Development Plan for Paviors RFC, Ollerton RFC, Ashfield RFC , Loughborough RFC, Nottingham Moderns, Leicester Forest, Westwood Deaconians , Hinckley RFC to support the "Seal of Approval" process and Community Club Development Programme applications.
  • Co-ordinating the work on Loughborough Sports Park - a project to develop a centre to house National Governing Bodies of Sport adjacent to Loughborough University
  • Whole Site Development Plan for Stoneygate and Aylestone St James RFCs - two rugby clubs on adjacent sites.
  • Development Plan for Loughborough Students RFC.
  • Feasibility Study for Community Use for Donisthorpe Primary School which acquired 11 acres of land suitable as a playing field for the school and community. Report delivered on time.
  • Facility Strategy for Leicestershire RU to guide Community Club Development Programme. Delivered on time.
  • Review of the work of Nottinghamshire Sport and Education Strategy Group for Nottinghamshire County Council.
  • Review of Nottinghamshire County Council's Talented Athlete Support programme including assessment of performance pathways for 20 sports.
  • Development Plan for Athletics in Derbyshire for the Amateur Athletics Association of England.Delivered on time.
  • Athletics Facility Audit for Amber Valley Borough Council.
  • Development Plans for Orienteering for Northen Ireland Orienteering Association and Welsh Orienteering Association commissioned by the British Orienteering Federation. Delivered to tight deadlines. Led to grant for NI Orienteering Development Officer.
  • Researching Impact of the Loss of a Playing Pitch for Amber Valley Borough Council and examining options for mitigating the loss. Wider football development proposals have been recommended.
  • Football Foundation application for Edwinstowe Parish Council for changing room building. Grant of £293,000 agreed.
  • Preparing a Football Development Plan and a Football Foundation application for West Hallam Parish Council.Grant of £130,000 agreed.
  • Preparing a Football Development Plan and Football Foundation application for Sileby Parish Council. Grant of £288,000 agreed.
  • Preparing Sport England Community Initiative Fund application for Nottinghamshire County Council for enhanced ATP at Valley School, Worksop including Hockey Development Plan. £100,000 grant approved.
  • Preparing a Football Foundation Community Fund application for Sutton Centre Community School. Grant approved after previous application rejected.
  • Preparing a Project Plan and Football Foundation application for Thurmaston Parish Council. Grant of £19,500 pending.
